Il JLC Grande Reverso Ultra Thin

Il Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Omaggio al 1931 è un paradosso. A meno di 30 millimetri di larghezza e un mero 8 millimetri di spessore (o è sottile?) Questo moderno riedizione dell'orologio classica polo dovrebbe essere troppo piccolo per i gusti moderni. Allo stesso modo, l'Art Deco sembra del quadrante guilloché e le linee horizintal sul caso circostante non immediatamente segnare come un orologio sportivo - ma questo è uno dei primi, veri orologi sportivi, progettato nel 1931 da LeCoultre in risposta a una richiesta per fare un orologio che sarebbe stata protetta da urti / bussa sul campo di polo. La semplice soluzione - una cassa reversibile - aveva anche una funzione secondaria, fornendo una grande superficie per incisioni personali o altri modelli.

La storia del Dizionario è lunga e tortuosa. Nel corso degli ultimi ottanta anni, questo orologio ha abbellito i polsi di uomini e donne, in crescita e contrazione in termini di dimensioni, come i decenni cambiano. Modelli recenti hanno (a mio parere) spinto i confini del gusto un po ', prendendo queste linee Art Déco ad una conclusione un po' gonfio, ma questo "tributo" alla versione originale 1931 restituisce il Dizionario per le sue specifiche quasi originali (Ultra può sottile si vede a destra, Q2788520 ref).

Realizzato da 3mm alta JLC calibro 822 (un vento manuale, decorata a mano movimento che batte in un raffinato 21.600 BPH) Ultra modello ultra-sottile sottile è riuscita a ridurre lo spessore caso della versione originale di un paio di millimetri, permettendo guardare a stare a galla quasi sopra il polso. In entrambi i casi, è notevole come pure l'orologio si siede sul polso, nonostante le sue dimensioni quasi femminili - a 27,5 x 46 millimetri, sarebbe probabilmente l'orologio più sottile che ho indossato. Invertita, JLC hanno lasciato una quantità di spazio per ammirevole di incisione che grida davvero fuori per un'iscrizione (o forse un dipinto smaltato?), Anche se non riesco a pensare cosa avrei inciso. Citizen Super Jet Auto Dater X case

Some say the best period of Citizen was around 1969, some say it was earlier and others believe it was after 1970. Well.. 1969 was at least an interesting year because Citizen had a lot of cool features intersecting around this time frame. The watch I will present to you today was made in June 1968. So… let's see it!

This particular time piece is loaded with a lot of cool features. It is the Citizen Super Jet Auto Dater, model SADS51202-Y. It has a polished/brushed stainless steel case, marked with a circled X. That means the case is unibody and it has no removable case back. In fact the movement comes out only if the crystal is removed. I also love the fact that it is marked “Parawater” (not the common “water resistant” or “water proof”). This was a therm that only Citizen used in order to show that the watch is in fact water resistant, and this one was up to 150m. Not having a removable case back eliminated a week link into this water resistance issue. You can read about the first Japanese water resistant watc, the famous Parawater, HERE . The mineral crystal is domed, with a concave inner surface. The dial is matte black, with a somehow satinated appearance. It is marker with 3 stars, an indication to the awesome movement inside. The luminos hour markers (the hour and minute hands have luminous parts too), have a polished trapezoidal shape making time reading very easy to do. The date is positioned at 3 o clock, where the unsigned winding crown is located too. By the way, the crown is manually winding the automatic movement, sets the date while the date changes only by moving the hour hand back and forward midnight. I was so wrong! How come I missed the fact that the date changes by pulling the crown?! Just pull the crown in the second position and the date jumps! Pull again, it jumps again!

Let's open it up! Let's not forget the X marked case, with integrated case back! The first thing one have to do is to remove the bezel (this is also keeping the crystal into place). Use the right knife blade to pop it open. Then remove the crystal. I do that using a suction cup. On the lateral part of the crystal there is a black rubber seal and underneath the crystal there is a transparent one in order to facilitate water resistance. So, the crystal is out, and so are the seals. Now turn the watch dial side down and slowly turn the crown. The movement will fall, so pay attention. Now that we have the movement out, turn it so we can see it. The beautiful Jet movement, gold plated, 39 Jewels, three stats, in all its glory! Love it! Read more about Jet movements HERE . Reassembly is somehow similar. A special attention should be payed when pacing the crown back. Press it into place only when in the right position into the movement, otherwise the stem can break. When pressure fitting the bezel back into place, be careful not to break the crystal. Nor the stem or the crystal are available for sale anywhere. So… take your time or take it to a watchmaker.

Anything else? Well.. not only that is in almost perfect condition but I can introduce to you how the original box should have been. Most of the times the box alone can double the value of the watch if it can be sourced. So… this is how a Super Jet auto dater box should look like. (I hope I can get it soon to complete the package, and the original strap too – not sure what is the right model here-)

JoinWatches.org Review – Breitling Replica That Isn't Very Good

I've written a JoinWatches.org review not so long ago, but this week I've received an interesting email (complete with pictures) from one of the blog's readers, Lucas who writes that he has ordered from the this website and ended up receiving a pretty dreadful product.
My conclusion after doing business with these guys has been pretty much the same. The Rolex model I purchased from them, turned out to be pretty low-grade. Apart from the not so great products, they also couldn't back up their products by a decent return policy.

Anyway, Lucas brought a Breitling replica instead, but boy was he surprised when he received the watch – it was nothing he was expected, in the lousy sense. Let's hear what he has to say:

I'm actually glad I found your blog. It will surely be of much help to me once I decide to take a chance again and order a fake watch. Keep up the good work, replica watch lovers need your insight. A lot. My fiasco will hopefully be useful to others, as well.
To be honest, at first I got really excited because the Breitling replica was extremely cheap. I know now, that the low price should have been a red flag right from the getgo. Anyhow, I purchased this intricate model, anyway and I was really hyped about getting it.

As stated in my previous JoinWatches.org review, if it looks cheap in the first place, it probably is. Lucas, one tale-tale sign that you're dealing with a manufacturer that doesn't put an emphasis on quality is the website. I think you agree it looks very amateurish, just as their products.

As for your question, JoinWatches doesn't state anything clearly about refunds and when I tried sending them some images of my crappy watch, asking for a refund they kept insisting the watch wasn't damaged per-se, so according to them I had no real, good reason to ask for my money back.
So, my advice to you, Lucas, is to let it go. I mean it's not like you paid a fortune. Next time, be careful and invest your money more carefully. Research and read replica forums and blogs and I'm sure you'll make find the best replica Breitling site next time.
I have to conclude this third party JoinWatches.org review with the same word of advice: stay away from this online seller or endure the consequences of paying for a less than decently made watch.
